Disaster at CS as our Volleyball Team is swept

A&M wins 3 - 0 as they won 22-25, 18-25 and 23 - 25. I don't know if A&M has improved that much or maybe we are rebuilding without Destinee. Also this 1/2 point is lost to the Aggies in the State Farm Lone Star Showdown and it could be a big factor later.

I was very disappointed in that performance. Lack of passion and Texas tradition on the floor tonite.Who is the leader this year. I dont see it. Whos the go to hitter. I dont see it. Whos the passers on the back row. I dont see it.Communication leader. I dont see it

Yes, the loss is certainly disappointing, but when only one squad member hits above .200 for the match (and even that one just barely) you aren't going to win regardless of who the opponent is. This team is struggling to find their identity and floor leadership, perhaps not unexpected after losing three such dominant players all at once, but getting out hit and blocked by the Ags is still surprising. We have a squad loaded with talent and top recruits and I expect them to figure things out at some point.....much better to experience some tough losses now as opposed to later in the season.

I agree we are basically a new team but with the talent we have we certainly should have played much better. This is not good. I don't mind them losing if they play well and do their best. I don't know they did so last night. When we lost to Penn State the ladies were playing excellent but we just lost to a great team. It is the effort or lack of that annoys me. I am not convinced we played like we should have or could have last night. This loss is not only a disappointment but a disgrace with the way we are playing. I think we are capable of much better and we better get it soon.

Good point mandingo. We should have gone with what we had going. We had them 2-0 and on the ropes.

I agree also, that we were outcoached last year. And sumthing is not right this year. I looked at the players last nite on the floor. There was just no excitement. If they would have played half the way they did against Florida in Florida. We would have beaten 3 - 0 . Where are the seniors at. I looked at them closely last nite all on this season, when I am able to catch their games. I expect so much more out of J.Faucette and J.Doris both Top 10 recruits out of high school. Are their chemistry issues or what. I was even surprise that J.Elliott could not get them motivated for this SHOWDOWN. I am ok with losing if the effort is there in the game. But we did not fight. Ladys you have to have some passion and energy. You can have talent all day long.But passion, energy and effort will win a lot of times. Prime example. Hats off to Texas AM they are no where close to the talent as far as on paper.But look what happen last nite.
