On DishTV (ch. 458 in this case) they do NOT offer Full Court in HD. The picture quality of this preview game last night was simply awful. No way I would pay for the rest of the Full Court package just to watch 2 or 3 more Big 12 games on Full Court, including games in the Big 12 tourney.
Interesting that KEYE-TV (CBS affiliate) local sports news showed clips from the game in 16:9 HD format with the usual quality image.
So I know the game was available in full HD feed, just that DishTV's format for Full Court has decided to only broadcast 4:3 non-HD quality picture.
It looked like Fox Southwest football games several years ago.
Can anyone report that DirecTV's presentation of this game was in HD format? I'd appreciate hearing one way or the other.
Game was in HD on KBVO 1525 on TW and picture was quite good. Picture was reported to be awful on same channel for the Colorado game (I did not see since was in attendance). The free preview Full Court channels on TW are also really bad.
I watched both the Colorado and Iowa State game on the free preview of Full Court on Directv. Neither of them were in HD and were both pretty bad. It was nice to get to see the game but I would not pay to watch a game on those channels if thats how the picture is going to look.
DirecTV was no in HD, which makes no sense. While the ESPN full court doesn't appear to be in HD the other channel it was on was a FoxSports Alternate channel which they do have HD channels available for, thus it should not have been a bandwidth issue just a decision to broadcast in HD or not.
