Director of IT Business Systems

This position reports to the CIO. They will manage a team of 15-18 people. The candidate will be managing business analysts and programmers. This will include from the insurance as well as financial side. This role will not be doing any coding. While they will manage technology, they would like this person to have a consultant feel that has a business focus. Someone that is straight technology WILL NOT be a fit. They will identify long term vs. short term IT investments for business. Manage short term IT investments through Application Management. Submit long term IT investment ideas or request to IT portfolio management/ governance processes. They want to make sure the candidate adds value added service and not just be an order taker. The candidate may make tough decisions to keep employees if they aren't performing. This candidate needs to be considered a possible fit for the CIO position if the current CIO ever were to ever leave. The candidate needs to have been in the Insurance Industry.

Musts: Insurance Industry experience. Bachelor's Degree, 5yrs. of management, successful client interaction including with senior executives, exceptional communicator, knowledge and direct experience with accounting and treasury systems, HR systems, data warehouse and reporting systems, system interfaces and systems integration. Awareness knowledge of .net and SQL server

Nice: Insurance industry experience, merger and acquistion experience
