Dining in or near Treasur Island

My wife and I are seeing Mystere on Friday night, and I'd like to book us a nice dinner reservation somewhere for us to eat before the show. So I'm looking for suggestions at TI, Mirage, Venetian or anything else within a quick walk of TI.

I've heard from a bunch of people about Isla, but seeing as we live in Texas I'd prefer not to eat Mexican food in Las Vegas. Social House looks interesting, but haven't heard of anyone who's actually eaten there. As for the other hotels I've heard good things about Delmonico at Venetian, but not too much else about the other restaurants there or at the Mirage. I'm looking for a palce without a stuffy atmosphere but that's still "nice". And I don't want the dinner to take so long we feel rushed by the end and scrambling to make the show at 9:30.

So with that in mind give me your recomendations...

Delmonico's is the way to go. Get the bone-in ribeye. I like their caesar, too. The gumbo's pretty excellent. Pretty good wine list (coming from a non-wine connoisseur, though, so take that with a grain of salt).

Delmonico's is great. Also consider the Samba Grill in the rear part of the casino at the Mirage. Then you could take the tram over to the TI, and the showroom is at the bottom of the escalator.

Samba (Brazilian food) has an excellent $30 p/p BBQ sampler deal. (The Rodizio Experience) Their menu:

We ate at Social House. It was OK, but we were in a room with like 4 tables, so it seemed weird. I guess when you go to a "hip" restaurant you want to see other people dining there so you realize it actually is "hip". Anyway the foo was ok. Similar to Uchi, but not as creative. Also there were WAY too many people working there, so we had a constant stream of wait-staffers checking on us. We did a get a view of the sirens show, which doesn't appear to make any sense, but was funny to watch while we dined. Anyway it wasn't bad by any means, but of the three Japanese/sushi places I've been to in Vegas I'd rank it third behind Okada at the Wynn (better atmosphere) and Hyakumi at CP (better prices and selection).

I do want to reiterate it wasn't bad though...
