Looking to get my wife a "good" digitial camera. We already have a non-SLR.
I don't know much about photography, and its not anything she's pursued much in the past other than she has an older 35mm that she enjoys when we go on trips..
Based on what I've reviewed and people I've talked to, the Nikon D40, D60, D80 is the range I'm looking for and Nikon has a good reputation. I've also heard good things about various Canon and Pentax cameras.
There are other expenses like the lens/flash that are less important and I can buy them as gifts later. Most of these pictures will be for "quick" pictures of our daughter, but I'd like the option with upgraded lenses and flash attachments for more advanced photography.
I'd appreciate any suggestions/information.
Thanks.
