Digital camera?

I know this is one of those topics (like Groomsmen's Gifts? and Mp3 Player?) that comes up regularly, but I'm looking for any feedback on digital cameras.

I'm looking at the Sony DSC-T1 vs. the Pentax Optio S4i.

Any thoughts or experience with either? Thanks.

Open to any other suggestions as well.

I wanted one for snap shots, it needed to be feature rich with a small form factor. I opted for the Kyocera Finecam SL300. it takes regular shots, rapid fire, and full motion w/ sound. has a 3x zoom, 3.2 mp (fine for what I want, I have a real camera as well thats cherry with big lenses). it's sweet, takes great pictures, comes with Adobe photoshop adn albumware. good purchase.

These folks do a great job. Reviews are very long and have a great summary if you don't want to wade throught the tech stuff.

I am not familiar with the smaller cameras, but just keep in mind that generally, when you go with a Sony you will likely be hooked to their proprietary memory sticks.

One thing you need to consider is reaction time between when you depress the button, and when it actually takes the photo. My Canon Elph is pretty cool in every way, except for the fact that it takes at least 0.5 seconds. It may seem insignificant, but it's a big deal when you're not taking stills.
