Didn't Texas once go undefeated?

Seem to recall that, but could be wrong. Season may not have been as long back then, but thought that was one of Jody's accomplishments.

Yes, it was in 1986. Texas was 34-0, and won the National Championship.

Last night on TV they showed all the teams that have gone undefeated...TEXAS was the FIRST team to do that, in 1986, when we went 34-0 and won the National Championship...
Tennessee and UConn have also done this, w/ 37 to 39 and 0's as well.

But Baylor is the first team to go 40 and 0....that's why everyone is hollering about them....

They have a decided advantage over everyone else w/ Griner, so as far as I am concerned...big whoop...

Imani says she'll be 6'9" when she gets here....so maybe we will put a dent in the Bears, but she'll be a freshman while BG will be a senior, so that remains to be seen...

But again, we were the first undefeated team, and everyone modeled their teams after us...with great success, I might add...
but kudos still should go to Jody for starting it all....

When Texas went 34-0, we had Clarissa Davis. She was like Michael Jordan without the huge paycheck and endorsement deals. Pryor to Clarissa, Cheryl Miller with USC was the most dominant player in women's college basketball. Texas defeated USC and Miller for the title. Hook'em had a sign that said, "Miller Time is over. It is time for some Lone Star."

It was a really big deal because DeLoss Dodds had just killed our men's basketball program.

I was in school in 1986 and saw a number of those games. With Clarissa we dominated. Fun time and great memories.

I too was wondering if horn in LA had seen Imani or heard anything about her. She was a blast to follow on twitter during the BU/ND game last night. She seems like a level headed young lady. Can't wait to see her in burnt orange. I wonder if she really is 6'9" or she just hopes to be!

She is 6'7" now, so she is listed....

If she is still growing, then we could see 6'9" before she gets here...

Either way, she is PSYCHED that Griner is staying, says she is READY to take the big girl on...
