Did UT sell all the bowl tickets?

Did Texas sell out its allotment of bowl tickets? I'm always surprised that any school ever does, since my experinces with school supplied bowl tickets is that they are terrible seats, and full price, when you can buy/get given tickets outside for much less and actually have decent seats.

Anyone buy tickets through the school, and if so, where are you sitting?

Each school was given 11,000 tickets and with attendance projected at close to 60,000 it would seem fair to assume that each school sold their allotment. Looking forward to a great game!

I seriously doubt there are 60,000 people paying to see this game. Two weeks ago I found tickets on broker sites for $30 which means there was no demand. I'm betting we didn't sell our allotment.

I almost bought four until I saw southwest tickets were going to cost a total of over $3,000. At that point I figured every other airline would be more so i decided it wasn't worth that to see two 7-5 teams play since I couldn't take off enough time to enjoy San Diego. I figure there were a lot of folks thinking the same way I was.

That is correct.

Bruce Binkowski of the San Diego Bowl Association says Cal fans bought most of their 11,000 tickets, while Texas supporters purchased about half of theirs and are donating the rest to the Marine Corps, Navy, YMCA and Star/PAL.

Lots of empty seats at all the bowls. I think the ND-FSU game looked pretty booked. Everything else has been 60% full tops.

except Baylor, I'm guessing. That's probably one school that sold theirs out, and could have sold more, I'm thinking.
