Did the rescheduled game vs Arky?

Did the rescheduled game vs Arky hurt us in the long run?

We would have had them sandwiched between UTEP and Rice. Now we play Rice, but have to play Arky, at Colorado, OU, and Missouri in consecutive weeks?

I think that having the off week early helps us. The most improvement is going to happen early in the season, and the off week has given us a chance to work on OURSELVES instead of working on getting ready for a game.

I also think that not having a week to get cold prior to starting Big XII play will be helpful. Rice is a decent team, and that will give us a chance to sharpen the things that we need to work on. If we can find a pass rush in the next couple of weeks, we might have a decent chance against OU and Missouri. It is a lot easier to stay in the flow of the season without taking off weeks before big games.

In the grand scheme of things, it is not going to matter a whole lot one way or another, but there could be a small net gain. One thing is for sure, playing Arkansas while a Hurricane is tearing into the state is not a good idea. Playing football while distracted is never a good idea.
