Did The Ferguson Cops Retreat?

They had weeks to prepare. Everybody had heard the rumors that the physical evidence supported the cops story .Everybody knew what a no bill would mean -- chaos. Yet, the police just stood by and let the rioters burn the city down. The store that Michael Brown robbed was burned to the ground -- no one could possibly ever have seen that coming.

No policeman fired a single shot. Did they even have tasers or tear gas available for use? The only thing I saw them use was smoke! WTF?

They had to have been called off by politicians at some level. Hopefully whoever called them off will come out eventually.

Obama has said for the police to "Chil" so to not provoke these thugs. The law is the law. If they break it, go after them and weed them out. Our country is just a mess right now.

The job of law enforcement is to protect the citizens and their property. The national guard should have been unleashed upon these hooligans. It's really sad that they were told to stand down and allow the destruction to continue. It sends the wrong message. We have a segment of the population that really has little to no regard for the rule of law. It's apparent that the fear of retaliation and accusations of racism prevented them from doing their duty. That's a bunch of crap.

The rioting is abhorrent but unfortunately expected. I suspect there was some "external" element in the rioting but without a doubt there is an element of frustration building in these poor African American communities across the US. Ignoring this frustration will continue to let the powder keg grow.

We can act like this is a "them" problem but ultimately its an "us" issue that will require some level of resolution from all sides to begin to correct.

There's a video on YouTube of a Ferguson "videographer" who was streaming video of the fires and rioting using their new iPhone 6 when another "peaceful protestor / undocumented shopper" grabbed the iPhone out of his hands and ran down the street like a MFer with the video still streaming. When the thief gets to his buddies they all say, "where'd you get the iPhone 6" and thief says "I stole it from some n***a".

Husker, I hate to break this to you, but if you're going to judge Cosby, than MLK wouldn't hold up with the same scrutiny. I'm not just talking about simple infidelity either, but "weaknesses" in relationships with women that are complete contradictions to his calling as a Christian minister and to his philosophy of non-violenece.

I have my wild unprovable theories about Ferguson and the night of the riots. The only way you release the no bill at that time of night is if you want the town to burn. The only way you don't have more cops present is if you want the town to burn. The only way you tell the national guard to stand down is if you want the town to burn. I'm not sure who or why but this goes beyond incompetence and I'm not one for conspiracy theories.

Drugging women and sexually assaulting them is on a different plane than infidelity. I personally don't think they are comparable when judging ones character. I'm not a religious person though.
