Did HBO Just Discover Star Wars?

The remastered versions of the first three.
Seems like every hour one of these three is on one of the HBO channels.
Great movies, but please go away.

takes me back to 1983/84.

When HBO was just one channel and it looped Empire and Star Wars over and over and over again.

Of course, being 9 at the time, I watched it every ******* time it came on.

Oh to be 9 again and see the movie with the wonder of child, instead of knowing that its creator would, in 16 years, destroy all the power he had instilled those movies those years before....

I watched them.....i must admit..but what i didn't like was at the end of Return of the Jedi they replaced the ghost like figure of Anakin for that guy that played him in episodes 2 and 3...you know that "i can't act" guy???? they use to have the older man Anakin in that scene..

yeah i know it's small but i can't watch the 2nd and 3rd ones simply because that dude playing Anakin is horrid...

Could be worse... perpetual "Weekend @ Bernie's" marathon.

Parts I, II & III...

Well you should have looked at it in 1980 when HBO came on the air around 5:00 pm and quit around midnight. It also seems that they looped "Assault on Precint 13" every night.

Old HBO was the best in old days in the afternoon during the summers. Must of seen The Gate and Conan the Barbarian a 100 times.

At least it's not any of the Police Academys

Mark Hamill /Carrie Fisher >>>>Steve Guttenberg/dude who made all those noises with his mouth.

I love seeing them in HD... I had the original trilogy... the remastered trilogy, and I also have the remastered remastered...

I think the lack of acting in the prequels was due to Lucas' directing. See Natalie Portman. Great actress who sucked *** in the prequels.

No kidding! I don't think they've played them since I got dvr. I also hope they make some more of these movies some day, ep.7 8 9.

I wouldn't mind if they made Timothy Zahn's trilogy. Our the Dark Empire series that was a Dark Horse comic book. With CGI, Lucas could totally do it.

I noticed this last year. There was literally a Star Wars on at all times with the 9 different channels HBO has. I turned to it when it was on the HBOHD channel. Movies in HD are good.
