Did anyone else enjoy Monday as much as I did?

Of the fifty teachers at our HS there have to be thirty that are full blood mouth breathing aggy.

And I searched out everyone of them yesterday and asked them if they enjoyed the game as much as I did.

Slow down Sanchez... you have a full 10 years of reminding them how much you enjoyed that game!

When we've won against aggy it's more about what I don't have to hear than anything I might say to them. That's just one more thing about the 'rivalry' that I won't miss.

i look forward to Christmas when i see the small aggy contingent in the family - they were horrible when they won 12-7 in Austin Colt's freshman year, and I will enjoy the payback this year.

They are full blown mouth breathing aggys. I thought I mentioned that?

At anytime there is a teachers meeting one of them always manages to mention Texas A&M so they can all "WHOOP". On the rare occasions that the University of Texas is mentioned (for example when it was announced that one of this years Seniors was accepted to UT awhile back) they all hiss. No ****, one of our best students a truely great kid gets accepted to UT WITH an academic scholarship to study Computer Science they all hiss. Like most of you would I am sure I applaud anytime ANY kid gets a scholarship ANYWHERE EVEN aNm. Good on that kid. But not aggy.

They are aggy.

I supervise at a plant in the Bryan/College Station area. I wore my Burnt Orange and walked in with a big grin. Didnt have to say a word. Misery was all over their faces. Pretty cool for a Monday

Someone in our office printed 27-25 on pieces of paper and placed them everywhere. They did a lot of work....we'll be finding those things for an eternity.

Every time I greet one of my fellow Longhorn fans with a handshake or hug, we both break out in huge smiles. I can look around and spot every aggy in the vicinity. They are staring at the floor and muttering to themselves. They may rant on forums about officials or luck, but not a single one has yet had the courage to say anything to my face. Not an outstanding season by any yardstick, but I thank this Longhorn team for not quitting amid the turmoil, and shutting aggy up for good.

I am a gracious loser. As a winner especially against aggy, not so much. You might even say that I become a bit obnoxious.

Have you noticed the almost total lack of aggy gear being wore lately? Seems there were a lot of aggy t-shirt fans. Whod a thunk it?

I agree with the rest of you that this belongs in the classics.

I think it resonates a little more with those of us who remember when agricultural really was a significant rival, not just a paranoid bunch of people on our schedule that spend an inordinate amount of time whining.

There have been some classic moments in the UT/agricultural series, on both sides, and at one level, I agree that it's a shame to end a series that's been played as long as the Thanksgiving Day game.

That being said, it needs to be remembered that UT is NOT the reason the series is ending. The athletic administration, and school president over in collie station understood completely the ramifications if they pulled out of the Big XII for the SEC, and they made that decision anyway.

There's something else that plays into this too. A lot of the fans of agricultural have turned this into some sort of jihad. It's no longer just an athletic rivalry to them, and to me, there's no place in college athletics for that kind of fanaticism. OU is our main rival, and I have as much fun as anyone making light of the okies, but it's all in fun. Football isn't war, although it might be a substitute for it.

When there is as much bad blood on one side in athletic competition of any sort, it's time to give that competition a rest, at least until both sides put the enmity to rest. I have a feeling that's gonna be a long time coming for fans of the agricultural college.
