DGB to pick Missouri or Arkansas

It will be Mizzou. Up until last weekend I thought the pigs had this kid but Mizzou came home down the stretch too strong. Kudos to our coaches for us even being in on him this late in the game.

I'll believe it when I see it. I'm still going to watch the announcement in the morning. Who knows what DGB may dream about tonight. It wouldn't be the first time someone has had an overnight change of heart.

If it's between Arky and Mizzou i may be in the minority but i really hope it's Arky. At Mizzou he'll be the primary threat and will draw double coverage week after week. Add that god awful turf to the equation and Mizzou is less than appealing. Playing at Arky will definitely give him a better chance to showcase his talent. Arky always seems to have a great running game thanks to their ability to stretch the field. DGB won't be the only great receiver on the team so opposing defenses will have a hard time getting away with double coverage.

I felt like it was Missouri and the fans at the Missouri vs Tech basketball put the icing on the cake.

I sure hate we missed out on this kid.

Is he going to Texas? No. Is he going to another B12 school? No. So who gives a **** where he goes...anyway, best of luck to him. Seems like a good kid.

What a waste of talent, but if that is where he wants to go so be it. Hope he likes those .500 seasons and no bowls since the NCAA soon will start requiring 7 wins to be bowl eligible.

No doubt evdryone put forth their best effort, but a WR needs a QB, and Texas just could not overcome the lack of a proven QB. Shipley will be fine, and Goodwin plus another receiver will have to step-up up.

Thanks for the update. Being a fan of college footbal beyond the city limits of Austin it is appreciated especially since he's a kid the fans and coaches would liked to have had.

Mizzou would be my guess--not sure why he would go that route given the option of Texas or Arky if he really wanted to be on a bigger stage. Oh well, best of luck to him. Sounds like a good kid.

Best wishes to the kid. I'm glad at least he let the coaches know so they wouldn't be subject to that stupid hat thing. He's the real deal and could really help Mizzou.

Playing close to home is important to him. But for him to even contemplate going to Texas is a credit to Mack and Darrell Wyatt. It shows a shift in recruiting strategy being willng to go out of state for talent even if they have no prior Texas ties.

I hope he does well and becomes an NFL pro prospect.

Everything horn4jc just said.
Programs, fans, coaches, campuses, are all welcome to outstanding student-athletes who give a nod of interest and make a visit and put that program in their list of finalists. Then it's up to the player and his family to feel what's right.

I'm glad DGB gave Texas a strong look. That bodes well for Texas.

Good luck, DGB. Stay healthy. Do your thing and enjoy the experience. It all works out in the end for everyone.

He will make big $$$ in the NFL no matter what school he attends, but he will not get to play for a MNC and his college will be dominated by other SEC programs. I guess he is too love stricken to care!

I read something about this a long time ago, and I have to respect the young man's decision to stay close to family while he plays college ball. Best of luck to DGB.

I too can understand him wanting to stay close to home. Austin is a pretty good drive from Missouri - I've done it a few times.

Best of luck to him.

I never fault a kid for playing for his home state University. I know I bitched and moaned during the lean years when top Texas talent went elsewhere ....
