Devil's Cove in February

We've been hitting CnC every Saturday for the past month just to have a few drinks/lunch/etc. Most of the Saturday's have been pretty nice and we've hung out with some cool folks.

Today was bad ***.

CnC was packed and lots of folks had their boats out. We went into Devil's Cove and it was hoppin'. At the peak, there were 65 boats in the cove, with the average being around 50 boats at any given time.

The lake is sitting at 682.7, which is 1.7 feet above "full". If today was any indication, there are a lot of folks jonesin' for some lake time and this spring should be a blast.

Anyone else out there today?

I wasn't, but on the same vein of summer activities in februrary, I was offshore fishing today. It was fantastic and I have the earliest in the year sunburn in my entire life. I actually kind of like it after winter.

I was going to try floating the kayak out there, but I was afraid I'd dominate the scene with the sheer manliness of my vessel.

Yup, it was a fantastic lake weekend. One of the many reasons I choose to live in Austin.

This thread has become my motivation to lose the 15 winter pounds I have put on. It will be lake time before I know it.
