I need a plan for cleansing my body of all the awfulness i put it through. This weekend was the final straw for me and need to quit the drink for a while.
The Link

someone gave me the link to this site, but wanted to see if anyone had a plan or has done one that was less expensive.

I recently saw a report about a study that indicated that "detox" diets don't do any good. I think the above comment is correct. Just treat your body right.

good points, had a buddy just do one and lost a ton of weight and said overall he felt much better.

If @ all possible, avoid "rapid" anything when it comes to your body (exceptions of course are surgeries, medically required events, etc).

Programs like this are setting you up for yo-yo dieting & it's much better to make wholesale changes in your life for a long term repair & recovery.

Check out peoples pharmacy. They sell a couple "detox" packs. IIRC, its basically a week or 2 course of fiber, N-acetyl cysteine, milk thistle, etc. Not sure if they do any good, but fyi.

If you're really drinking that much, you'll be amazed at the changes your body will go through if you just stop for a while and eat right. Quitting drinking is probably the fastest way to lose weight (if you drink a lot, that is). I quit drinking vodka for a month (still had some wine and beer) and lost 6 lbs. Doesn't sound like much but that's more than 5% of my body weight. And it's amazing how much better you feel. The "detox" thing seems a little extreme, imo, unless you're a girl and trying to drop weight really fast for swimsuit season, your own wedding, etc.
