Dems have tied the money bill for the Israel iron dome to the crisis on the border.
 
Why are we spending our $$ on illegals? Since when is Mex and central America our allies?
 
BI that's a very fair question.

But that questions has nothing to do with that bill, this thread, or the Democrats in Congress.

If the Democrats wanted the money for Israel, it would have breezed through on its own bill. Why did they have to pork it on to Obama's immigration bill?
 
A matter of perspective, but what would be even more rational than your answer - democrats playing passive aggressive patty cake roulette because they secretly don't want to help Israel?

Is that as rational as you will go? More rational, your words, isn't the same as honest.
 
The use of poison pills in its something both parties do as a matter of course. Neither side has any credibility making an issue of it.
 
Legislative machinations are as old as legislation. It's a matter of perspective. When the machinations are guided by people you like and you favor the outcomes sought, you call it "clever." When you don't like the actors or intended outcome it is "despicable."

Sometimes outomes are recognized by history as really good -- like William Wilberforce's abolition of Britain's slave trade.

One thing certain, Democratic and Republican politicians are beholden to Israel and the lobbyist/contributors who back its cause. US funding of Israel's defense is not in jeopardy.
 
The word "despicable" is appropriate. Sorry it offends the PC crowd want to make the situation more complicated than it is.
