Hollywood liberals are outspoken, but it betrays a huge void in knowledge to say the place is universally liberal. The place is crawling with conservatives and the people who finance the films, i.e., the people who are actually responsible for what gets made and then gets distributed, are not red or pink but rather are green, as in money.
I had a relative who worked for one of the banking entities that financed the monsters and he said they not only were not liberals, they didn't even go to the films. The make and market what they think will sell to some market niche.
For good reasons and bad, the liberal pols are more likely to be grist for the film mills than guys like Perry, W or Mitt Romney. That is just a fact.
If you made a movie about Rick or W or Mitt, even the conservatives would avoid it. Aholes like O and Clinton are more filmable.
A film about ahole Barney Frank would be of more interest than one about one of the republicans caught on their knees in recent years. Not to me, but to the film going public, which is made up of a lot of niche audiences.
ANd quite frankly, that movie doesn't look to be a compliment to O so much as a comment on the nature of True Believer lunacy.
