Need a molar crown and possible root canal. Looking for a reasonable price in Austin or the area to the southeast.

My dentist is Elwyn Speir. He is located on Hancock Drive in austin. He has been my dentist for 30 years. His prices are very reasonable and he did a root canal for me last year. I didn't know this, but many regular dentists do not do root canals and refer you to a specialty dentist. Dr. Speir does them. Anyway, I like him and he is a UT grad.

root canals can be difficult especially on molars due to multiple roots and canals. often there are curved root tips and it isn't easy looking in the very back of someone's mouth.

also special equipment is necessary as are special supplies. some dentists do all root canals, some refer the most difficult cases and some refer all cases to endodontists.

with all that said, I am interested to learn who you all like in the lake travis area

When I was a sophomore at UT, I ran into a lightpole on Clark Field and cracked three teeth and busted one out (which got put back in) and fractured my palette. To fix it, they had to saw down all three cracked teeth to basically tiny little stubs, then fit 3 fake teeth around them. So, as you can imagine, I probably spent at least 24 hours over the course of a semester sitting in a dentists chair, and I would not want to be sitting anywhere other than in Pacheco's office. He's a UT grad, nice guy, but the best part of it all is each chair has its own TV and headphones that comes with all the cable channels (the 100 channel package or so). If you live too far away, probably not worth it for a normal check up but for serious dental work where your going to be sitting for long periods of time, he's the guy.
