Dems to release contentious report

"On Tuesday, Senate Democrats will use some of their last hours in the Senate majority to release the much-anticipated report about the CIA's methods of extracting information from terror suspects, called "enhanced interrogation" by some and "torture" by others.

The report is 6,000 pages long, but only the 480-page executive summary will be released. It is contentious, opposed by both Republicans and former CIA officials who argue that it not only is false, but that it will bring harm to American personnel abroad.

Senate Intelligence Committee chairwoman Dianne Feinstein, D-California, said she will release the report Tuesday morning around 11 a.m., and will not comment until that time."
and "The concern for U.S. personnel abroad prompted Secretary of State John Kerry to call Feinstein to discuss "the impact that the release" of the report would have on factors ranging from U.S. efforts to fight the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) to the safety of American hostages around the world, State Department Jen Psaki told reporters Monday."The Link

Do read the part where it says BO wants to be "transparent" about it. No no nothing political to see here. So some Americans could get killed in the backlash? So even SecState Kerry asks it not be made public?
BO thinks transparency is more important. and we know how transparent BO has been.

I though BO was going to put an end to "enhanced interrogation" and shut down Gitmo. What happened? It must be Bush's fault.

To be fair to BO as far as we know we haven't taken any combatants as prisoners since he took office early 2009.
I guess we were lucky and killed them all after he took office.

This report is on interrogations done by the CIA in 2003, You know Bush's fault.

Gitmo, why yes yes Bo did say he would close it down, until he said he wouldn't.
Now he is releasing known terrorist to countries like Uruguay who has promised BO they will make sure the terrorists stay in Uruguay and will not fight again.
Oh wait Uruguay made no such promise. Anyone think those released terrorists are still in Uruguay?

BO used the intel. Joe Biden bragged "GM is alive and Osama is dead", but he feels dirty for doing it. His theory is to do anything to win an election and do what you want later.

This is all part of the "American Has Been a Bad, Bad Boy" liberal philosophy. We must confess our sins to the world and take our punishment. Never mind that innocent lives may be lost because of this dumbass decision.

OK -- so people who chop off the heads of innocents are going to be REALLY hostile because we did a little waterboarding, sleep depravation and uncomfortably cold incarceration?

Is this report going to be more inflammatory that some right wingers poorly made movie or a Koran-burning ceremony?

If any attacks occurs from this, the Democrats may rue this day and Feinstein. Americans, especially after recent beheadings of Westerners by Islamic terrorists, don't care if we waterboarded Khalid Sheik Mohammed or Abu Zubaydah. They don't care if we made these guys stay awake by playing Brittany Spears. And the bleeding heart argument that we failed democracy by using enhanced interrogation techniques...no one buys that. Here's a constant that Americans have held to since 1776, if you mess with America - you're going to regret it.

Americans don't buy Diane Fenstein's San Francisco version of American Identity. Hell...for that matter Americans don't buy anything senators are selling. This report is as much a Fenstein hit piece as the UVA Rolling Stone Article and has less credibility. DCIA's from both administrations, military officers, other intel committee members, dispute the report's findings and integrity.

Obama better lawyer up in his post-presidency, because if the CIA gets this amount of grief for enhanced interrogation, I can't imagine what the fall out would be for his Predator program...you know since instead of making them listen to music from Barney the Dinosaur, he actually killed people...by blowing them apart - many, perhaps hundreds (not to mention collateral victims) who were assassinated by Obama without even knowing their identities, just their "likely value." Feinstein better get ready for that too since that was all on her chairwomanship.

When leaders of foreign gov'ts approached our gov't and said releasing the docs will cause violence and death as Rep Rogers R Mich reported
and when former CIA Director Hayden warned on Face the Nation "“This will be used by our enemies to motivate people to attack Americans and American facilities overseas,”
heck even Kerry questioned it.
I do think these savages can be inflamed to commit even more brutality.

I can still see people jumping from from the twin towers so they would not burn to death. The left in this country might as well fly the ISIS flag on their houses. So sad our government has become what it is, if one person dies as a result of this, the people responsible should be impeached and prosecuted.

Those images haunt many of us.

Senator Kerrey Ne wrote a great piece in USA Today. He makes some interesting points. worth the read.
Three things he points out are particularly salient; 1.Democratic staff alone wrote it, 2.unlike other intelligence investigations the Senate's Intelligence Committee staff chose to interview no one. 3.The worse consequence of a partisan report can be seen in this disturbing fact: It contains no recommendations. The Link

The report also cost $40 million dollars. Think about that a $40 million dollar, partisan hackjob!

Bill Bennett had John Rizzo on his show this morning. He ws Acting Gen. Counsel to the CIA durning those years and had oversight of the Enhanced Interrogation program. Everything they did in that program, every technique they used, was approved by the U.S. Justice Dept.

He talked about what pressure they were under in those days to prevent another 9-1-1 attack. Obama & DiFi may snub their elitist noses at the program, but they sure as Hell benefitted from its fruits. They're just a pair of hypocrites.

All I can say is thank God Obama wasn't President when 9-1-1 happened.

Dems/libs enjoy taking this nation down from its previous elite world status. Where will these morons go when they have finished their destruction of their home? They don't have enough common sense to not **** in their own mess kit. They do all of this under the guise of their self-presumed intellectual supremacy.

The report was part of a process that was to include interviews. There were three major parts in all, of which, as I understand, none have been done. Only an extraction of facts, from documents, turning out a compilation that is deemed by guests on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" to be little more than a prosecutors opening briefs.

Also....

Obama said, in response to the report, that we are a nation of moral behavior, and where we are wrong we admit it.

He did not include how Benghazi was handled, the IRS targeting of political speech, Fast & Furious, the lies, half-truths, and bungling administration of everything associated with Obamacare, the DOJ and journalism, the constant grab for power at the executive branch.. have I left anything out?... so many abuses of power, and stonewalling and refusals to "come clean about anything" I eventually loose count.

But this report and the stance by the President and democratic leadership is one helluva reach when it comes to hypocrisy. The democratic party today stands for the hijacking of the American society in so many ways, always with a hand reaching into the pocket stealing tax dollars from every class of the society -- presumably to rob from Peter to pay Paul -- but ultimately to continue building the largest and most powerful & richest government in the history of planet Earth. You can't do that unless you convince the population you really do need to steal from them and rule and regulate them.

To be so taxed and ruled and regulated... is to me valid, real legitimate TORTURE. There's more than one way to **** over your mind and soul 24x7, and at times one may wish just go ahead and pour the water, I can't sleep anymore anyhow wondering when the next dam hammer is going to come down on my life from this insane government.

So you freaking tell me which torture the President is most willing to apologize for? The supposed torture of captured suspects? or the down-right torture of the hearts, souls, minds and lives of the citizens? Not to mention all the rest of the world this modern empire "meddles" with on an ongoing basis.

There's alot wrong with the picture. A lot.

Good point about BO's selective moralism.
The media is trying as hard as they can to fan flames of outrage over this but say not a single word about BO using drones to kill innocent civilians including American teen agers.

The hypocrisy is astounding and sickening.

Correct 6721....
The more I'm learning today the sleezier this report becomes.

The chant that resounded today was "That's not who we are." Obama has said it many times before this week.

Finally he has uttered something with wisdom to it.

Benghazi...That's not who we are.
IRS targeting...That's not who we are.
Obamacare... conception, passage, rollout...That's not who we are.

Reid's leadership of the Senate...That's not who we are.

Hu
Dems all over the place are using the mantra " that is not who we are" and of course " we are better than that"

So far not one and certainly not any poster here has tried to justify using the that is not who we are to condemn getting information from know terrorists( who are still alive years later) against BO's policies of sending hellfire killing missiles into groups of innocent people including children .

I'd be interested to just once read or hear a creative spin on that.
BO is the biggest scum POS in the world to pretend moral outrage and high faux indignation over treatment of known terrorists while he kills innocent civilans and children .
