Dems: party of No

The House passed a CR that would keep the government up and running until Nov
but the Dem controlled Senate rejcted.

House passed bill lost in Dem controlled Senate 59-36 ( 7 Repubs voted with the Dems )

So who is not willing to compromise?

You can say this but the 2 situations really aren't analogous. Issue then was that for the most part the Republican party did not factor into many of the votes. At this point you have 2 houses that are controlled by different parties. There is no point in my mind of drafting legislation when you no it has about zero chance of getting off the ground. Better solution would be to find somebody on the other side in the other chamber of congress and work with them on the legislation. That way when it passes your chamber it has a champion in the other chamber. Everybody can come up with a plan but if there is no bipartisan support of the plan then it is just going to die. The republicans are continuing to play the same bad game they did in the late stages of the debt ceiling fiasco. Pass a plan that you no has zero chance of passing and then try and point the finger at the other side.

First of all the word is KNOW in your context.

second if as you point out the GOP was not a factor in the votes how could they be a party of NO
BUT if you think they were then you have to think the Dems are now the party of No.

All we have heard is Republicans must compromise. apparently compromise is a one way street and means Dems/Obama think the Pubs should do it their way.

This action today by the Senate reveals how completely hypocritical Reid and Dems are, just like Reid was when he rejected each of the 11 bills on jobs and economy passed by the House this spring.
Party of NO

I'd like to see someone in both parties sit down and hammer out a true compromise with both sides getting something they wanted and each side having to give up something it wanted.
THAT is compromise

What the idiot Dems keep forgetting is that THEY were the ones who got hammered in the last election. They are the ones who need to back the **** off. But they won't budge an inch.

So they're going to get hammered again in 2012, and we won't have to worry about it anymore.

what is important to note here is that the media declared conservatism over after the 2008 election. im sure the 2010 mid terms didnt sway anyone's opinion. we are headed toward the most racist election in history so we should find out in 2012 if conservatism is dead.

Reps aren't saints, but they don't hold a candle to Dems when it comes to corruption and "doing whatever it takes" to further their agenda. The conservative voter base won't stand for it.

Corruption scale:

Dems - 9.5
Reps - 4
