Everyone was wondering why both of these guys left when at least one of them would have been handed the starting job this year.
Demperio is literally the worst hitter on Georgia's team, batting .229 with four extra base hits in 170 at-bats. His .276 slugging percentage and .332 OBP gives him an OPS of .608.
Prince began the season as Tulane's starting shortstop, but he eventually lost that job. He's batting .200 without a single extra-base hit in 95 at-bats. His OPS is .476.
Also, Clint Stubbs is hitting .208 with a .469 OPS at Louisiana Tech.
