Democrats starting to panic over Obamacare

The Link. Looks like the Senate Dems are concerned that negative fallout from Obamacare could threaten those up for reelection next year. Wonder if they will enact legislation to delay it a year?

The republicans shouldn't allow a 1 year delay without forcing the dems to make drastic changes in the law........such as allowing everyone to keep any policy that they want.......and also to stop the crony exemptions. The whole law should be canned.

When does the employer mandate delay end? If it ends before the next mid term elections the Dems are going to be toast. If people start getting notifications from their employers that their health care is being canned...

Republicans would be so foolish to accept any delays for the individual or employer mandate. It's time for the Dems to accept the millstone around their neck. The Republicans finally have leverage and must insist on full or partial repeal of Obamacare. This is what happens when one party passes major legislation without a single vote from the opposition party.

One thing that concerns me is that people are blurring the Obamacare problems and talking about them as if they're politically similar, when they're not. The website problems are embarrassing, but they can be fixed. My guess is that they won't be an issue by 2014. However, the people losing their coverage despite Obama's promise can't be fixed without major changes to the law. That could hurt them. These Democrats bitching about the technical problems, not calling for fixing the coverage problems, which are a much bigger deal.

Yes putting up a decent website should have been relatively easy when you have hundreds of millions of dollars to throw at it. The Obamacare law itself is the problem and that can't be fixed easily.

The Repubs shut down the gov. to get a year delay. They didn't get it. Now they see the havoc Obamacare is reeking. It will only get worse. They're probably glad they didn't get the delay.

I say once again, if you think this is bad just wait until the doctors start trying to submit claims. This is a cluster f@*# of massive proportions and it will collapse our medical system for the 12% that didn't have insurance but were getting healthcare anyway.

Thanks you freaking idiots!!!!!!!

there are so many unsubstantiated scare tactics some of you throw around. I bet you guys built bunkers before Y2K as well.

The Soviets had "collectives".....Obama has Obamacare.................It's all about wealth redistribution.

Pharm' IF as you say it is a ' scare tactis" to post that Docs could love money when they try to bill
then please explain if you can what would happen if an inusred person quits paying their premiums?
is there a grace period?
if there is who pays for care received after the person stops paying obamacare premiums?>

Perhaps you can explain it. From how I read in the actual law it the docs and hospitals are left eating the bill

Those same critics who said people would not be able to keep their current plans? The same critics who said the government would bungle the roll out and long term management? The same critics who called is a distribution of wealth?

Please tell me you are not thinking Al Jazera Gore would have successfully managed 911.

BTW Pharm...I think you're a solid poster - one of the smartest thoughtful guys on WM.

Obviously, people will never see eye to eye on this until the ceiling starts falling on our heads.

Pharm, you're playing the hide and seek game here and won't join the argument. If you can't see the difference between a national security contingency and a new entitlement program, then there's no point to this anymore. You're a smart guy and you know the difference.

I'll only leave with this:
