That's interesting. I'd have to agree with Clinton that an articulate, thinking conservative becoming president is less objectionable than one with little depth or ability to cogently and thoughtfully adress complex issues. But thoughtful positions can get you in a lot of trouble ...

Newt has said that Securing the Border is first and foremost. Breaking up families is not the conservative message. Families that have been here for Decades should not be broken up. The round up and send them back is not the Family Values Party.

I don't know about Amensty but some type of Registration, elegible for a Green Card once the border is secured is not out of the question.

I think every Conservative can say, Secure the Border first and foremost. We can work on step two once the border is secured and is no longer compounding the problem.

How many illegals do we have in America? 10 to 15 milion? No way any President will get a fraction of those out of America in one term or two for that matter. What he's saying is leave the ones who's lived her 20 plus years alone who don't have any criminal record and has all their family here to focus on getting the once that committ crimes and do nothing for society but cause problems out of here. I don't like illegals coming here illegally, but we got so much more to do than worry about the ones Newt is talking about. We will never come close to getting the ones here out anyway. We need to get the bad ones out and focus on not allowing new illegals to come over. Taking a productive good illegal is taking away the man power to get the crimials who really needs to be taken deported.
