Anyone know whats going on with him? I saw Rivals with an article saying he may be waivering in his commitment to UAB. Went over to their board and there was a long thread about their AD giving an interview and something about a letter. From what I could piece together it seemed to have something to do with Cousins questioning whether Davis will be there next year.

I don't recall who else he was considering at the time he gave his verbal to UAB.

I think the issue is that Cousins wants some sort of out clause in his letter of intent, allowing him out of it if Mike Davis leaves. Devin Ebanks supposedly had that type of agreement with Indiana. Anyway, Cousins isn't so much wavering on his commitment to UAB as he is wanting assurances that Davis will be there OR that he can look elsewhere is Davis leaves. If the school won't give it, he's looking to sign in the Spring to see how the season goes and what develops with Davis.

Seth Davis has an article up on it today. Pretty much he won't sign an NLI unless UAB promises in writing that Mike Davis will be the coach.

Interesting stuff. Seems like the person getting off scott-free in the discussion is Davis. I wonder what Cousins will do should they not do what he has asked.
