I'd like some of the smarter soccer fans opinion on his play from the 2nd half of the El Sal and the T&T game.

To me, he looks to be in the mold of Grosso for italy, or because i love hockey, Zubov from the Dallas Stars days.

Kind of a defender in name only, but the catalyst on getting the ball over the mid field line and creating an attack.

It just seems that he consistently can find the right man in the attacking half to get an attack going.

Ken Hitchcock once said that if they kept track of assists in hockey to the THIRD to last pass, Zubov would lead the league in assists every year.

It just seems Beasley can add this dimension, and it helps that Hejduk is playing very well on the other flank imo.

looks good for us, although i was a little surprised that Edwards from T&T out ran him for that loose ball.

In the second half of the El Salvador game, Demarcus was a Defender in name only because he was WORTHLESS as a defender. He SUCKED! He wasn't much of an offensive player either. He was basically a waste of space.

I only saw the second half of the T&T game and except for being beaten once by the right winger for T&T (Demarcus' calling card is supposed to be his speed.), he seemed to play alright. Then again, we are playing T&T... in NASHVILLE! I would hope he would look pretty good.

He's too much of a ***** to play defense full time. There are people smaller than he is who play wing back (Evra on ManU comes to mind), but they don't get bounced off the ball like you're flicking a fly off your glass the way Demarcus does. He really should start on the bench.

He's played at LB for 135 minutes now and we've scored 5 goals in that time and had plenty more opportunities.

he could get pushed off the ball easily, but then, Grosso is no defensive juggernaut either, i think they both just bring a difficult tactical problem to the other team.

I thought that he was very good in the first half and was in the middle of everything. In the second half, it seemed like they told him to stay back more which made him worthless.
