Dell's mini laptops

Anyone have one? I have a Desktop and really don't need a laptop, but the mini is cheap enough and would be great for travel... I read the reviews, and for the most part they're actually great... but does anybody have any first hand experience?

I just saw this thing online the other day for the first time and have the same questions you do. Hopefully someone has some experience with them.

I've seen them. They look a little cheap, but I guess that is what you need to expect for a $350 price tag. I have been tempted by the Ubunto version of the notebook... which I think would be the perfect travel companion. The HDD are flash based and pretty small which is one draw back. The 3G capability is pretty neat though.

Strictly to search the net, right? It's good doing that. If it's something you want to use in office, I wouldn't recommend. It doesn't have xp pro.

Yeah, it's net only... email and stuff like that... Also, I have a couple of extermal hard drives and on trips I can fill them up with movies and watch a couple on the road...

Not bad for quick google when watching tv and questions come up, or keeping up with fantasy scores while watching the games...

yeah, internet wise, it's a little better than an ipod.

Bought one for the same purpose the day it came out. If you have fat fingers, you might have real issues with the small keyboard. But I dig the little booger.
