When I first saw the Dell 30-inch LCD TV, I thought it was the answer to a problem I didn't know our family had-- how to incorporate an HDTV and a computer monitor into one item in the living room (which, this being an older house, isn't very big at all, so 30 inches is about right). I like the idea of being able to switch between the two uses on the same device and not lose (much) picture quality on either.
But is this the right tool for the job? Are there other devices that would do as good or better job? And I'm leery of buying anything from Dell, given that their quality control on computers slipped in recent years. I'd appreciate thoughts and suggestions.
