Delete IE and Outlook?

If I were to uninstall both of these "products" from my computer, would it have any adverse effects?

I don't use either one, and they're just taking up space on my system and are (to me) just potential security holes. I have Mozilla and Eudora (though I'm thinking of switching to mozilla's mail sw) as my defaults to handle those two processes.

Ahh you inaverdently stumbled upon what makes Microsoft well Microsoft. During their trial vs the Justice department they argued that they could not remove IE because it was well integrated into the OS, because they could not just make **** up they had to unneceserally integrate IE, so now anybody can use some glaring holes to gain shell access (and if you are the average user root access) on your computer and do malicious things. I do not know if it is the same for Outlook.

Just using another browser is still not enough security.
