Delance Decommits from OU After Racist Video

Here's the link to the video of the racist chant. I would watch with discretion and preferably not on speaker if you're not in private.

Very embarrassing for everyone involved in this situation. I have my own reserved feelings for OU, their fans and their football program, but I can safely say this is not typical of an OU student or alum. This is typical of uneducated ignorance and drunk college kids making stupid decisions that may cloud their future forever.
 
I am in no way defending racism.

Was that an airplane they were on?
It didn't seem like many people were singing.
It seems a shame that ONE drunk ******* could bring a whole group (I am in NO way defending frats) The only one that I belonged to was an honor one.
The football team and even their coach took it seriously.
It doesn't seem (to me) that Delance's decision had any thing to do with this.

Okay, if the man himself says that influenced him I won't argue. Apparently I and maybe others (based on other thread(s)) believed that he was already de-commited earlier than the offical word.

And it just gets worse for big game bob. OU may finish 4-5th in conference every year at the rate they are going.
 
Glad the OU administration took swift action that his type behavior won't be tolerated. Frat guys sometimes do boneheaded crap, but that was incredibly stupid and shameful for the whole university.
