Del Rio for the weekend

My gf and I are planning a weekend trip to Del Rio next month and would like suggestions on places of interest from Austin to there and dining suggestions. It's her hometown where she grew up but she hasn't been back in 20 years.

Thanks for any help.

Ma Crosby's, The Corona Club, Whataburger for late night chow after you've drug yourself back across the border.....that about covers it.

There's this very good restaurant a couple of miles into Acuna. For the life of me I can't remember its name. So I guess I'm not much help.

Taco Grill...maybe. That is owned by Lando who owns some of the stuff right along the main drag when you cross over. Taco Grill is where the locals go when there are too many tourists at Crosbys.

My hometown...

Definitely head to Lake Amistad...rent a boat if you can (in advance so you don't get an old POS), or head to the cliffs if you decide against the boat. Best sunsets around.

Head to Mexico for dinner and a night out on the town. 4 am head to Kettle for breakfast. Used to go to Mi Casita, but I think it closes early now.

Don Marcelino's for the best damn guisado burritos in the world.

Have fun. If you ditch the gf, head to boy's town and get a hooker. Best $70 you'll ever spend.
