Yeah & Bogans had a big fat ZERO., so by the same line of thinking he is obviously a bust that they completely struck out on.
IOW Pitter, the regulars didn't even suit up last night, so I might suggest that you take your foot off the accelerator until you see him in a real NBA game. Congrats for keeping within 20 of the rockets though.
Yes, I am very worried about the Spurs losing to the Rockets in Pre-Season...
"San Antonio played without Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, and Michael Finley, who were sitting in street clothes along with new teammates Theo Ratliff and Antonio McDyess."
Real worried.
DeJuan Blair is exactly what the Spurs needed. He has the energy of Malik Rose, except he has something Malik didn't have...talent.
Blair had another double-double against the Clips and still looks comfortable in the NBA. But that Griffin kid is something else. I can see why he was the #1 pick. Wow! Too bad he's stuck in Clipper-land.
3rd Coast, you're right - that's a nice article on Blair and sums it all up very well. Will be an interesting year for the Spurs and the West, in general. Thanks for the link.
Not a bad start in the regular season opener: off the bench in a blowout of the Hornets, 7 of 10 for 14 pts and 11 boards (5 offensive) in just 23 minutes. Third highest scorer behind Parker and Ginobili who played more minutes. The kid is going to be special if his knees hold up. What a steal by the Spurs.
The ESPN jerk fest of the lakers, and the modest, blue collar attitude of the Spurs coupled with Jefferson/Blair/McDyess makes me think we can have an 'upset' in our hands come Laker time.
