Definition of a Conundrum: Pulling for Aggy?

Talk about a conundrum. What if, when Aggy plays Georgia on 11/23 and LSU on 11/30, we need a loss by one of those teams to enhance our shot at a spot in the CFP? Do we pull for — ahem, — Aggy?

They’re nothing to me now. They’re not a brother. They’re not a friend. I don’t want to know them or what they do. I don’t want to see them at the hotels, I don’t want them near my house. When they see our mother, I want to know a day in advance so I won’t be there.

Besides, there is no possible way a team that barely beat Arkansas, who lost to San Jose State that was drummed by Air Force has any possible chance in either of those games.

If we are still in the playoff hunt after those games, I'll think about pulling for them. We need Bama to go undefeated and win the SEC. Anyone else wins it and Bama has one loss they will get a playoff slot. We need LSU to lose to bama and likely someone else. We need Notre Dame to lose again. I'm not worried about Georgia, if they lose to Bama more than likely it will knock them out, but to be sure I'd like to serve them up another loss.

Most important, before I start to worry about all that, I want to see us win the conference. Next year is our year as long as we get Ehlinger and Cosmi back.

Lol of course we want them to win. I don't care that much about them.

I'd be fine if OUsux lost every single game. Otherwise whatever helps us always.

I've learned never root for aggy or OU. Just don't do it. As someone else said, won't matter. Ags going 6-6 or best case 7-5 depending on MSU.

Whether we pull for them or not, they are going to get mud holed in both games.

I don't see the problem with it. It's not like they are our OU. Speaking of which, watching them blow Oklahoma out in the Cotton Bowl a while back was actually pretty fun.

Well, I’d pull for Aggy if it could help us. The uncontrolled delusion associated with a win over Georgia or LSU late is the season would be completely spoiled (for Aggy) if they knew that it helped “UT” make the CFP. Now for THEM, that’s a serious conundrum. Beating a highly ranked team and by doing so, helping the reason for their inferiority complex.

Although nice to theorize on what teams ahead of us losing could do for us, I hope the team is more concerned with first beating West Virginia and then every team each week after that.....
