Venus and Jupiter

Pretty spectacular last night.

last night i saw a small light above the jupiter star. i looked back a minute later and couldn't see a damn thing. i was convinced i saw a jupiter moon. turns out the planet in question was venus and venus doesn't have a moon.

I gotta say, we're lucky to have these clear skies and nice dry air. Makes for excellent star gazing.

It has been sweet. My balcony is on the SW side, so I've been seeing Venus and Jupiter for a bit. I just happened to notice the other night that all of a sudden they are really close together, and I did get to see the whole thing on Dec 1 with the moon and everything. It was sweet.

I live out in the country and when I'm outside at night I usually do some stargazing. Last night I let the dog out to take care of business and I saw a shooting star. Then this morning when I went out to get the paper I saw another. Strange.
