Try to win at least one more game this season. I want to still feel good about beating you in East Lansing.

(As I type they are losing to Iowa 36-14. That would be the Iowa with the 8-13 record.)

State is horrible this year. Izzo has totally lost this team. Sparty will miss the tourney for the first time in 14 years.

It's hard to imagine that this team was ranked #2 at the beginning of the season.

Somewhat similar to the Horns last year but I think State's collapse is far more serious. Lots of drama between players and Izzo and then some more between players. This team has just stopped playing. They are done.

I would never have though a Mack coached Texas football team would go 5-7 either. **** happens.

Was talking with a friend who wanted to hold onto the idea that beating MSU was special. This was a few weeks ago. I told him that, in reality, this team had some of the earmarks of last year's Texas team in that, even through the TV, team chemistry smelled rotten. They have on occasion started with some high profile losses only to get the team concept in order for a healthy run through the tourney. Not this team. They have been quitting all year. Quitting, lethargic, mentally unsound. Since Day 1. I have no idea why, though I don't think that the talent there is special. They just aren't buying the team and the coach hasn't been able to sell it.

The Spartans were swirling the drain before Izzo suspended Korie Lucious indefinitely about a week ago. Things are probably only going to get worse before the season is over.

Just goes to show it can happen to anyone, even a superb coach like Izzo. Maybe that'll earn Barnes some slack in the eyes of certain Hornfans for last year.

Yeah, whatever is going on has been solidified by the suspension of senior leadership. Summers is just jacking at this point and his abdication has no doubt torpedoed team chem.

They are a mess and play like they don't give a ****.

Biding time til next year unless some 11th hour sense of pride takes hold.

No matter, the Horns have looked very strong and can legitimately be expected to play well against anyone. The Horns being much better than expected well out weighs the Spartans stinking like dirty ***.
