Thanks for mailing me yet another expensive brochure extolling the virtues of my household signing up with you for cable service. I'll be glad to switch as soon as you get the Longhorn Network. If you had spent one 100th of the money you have spent on these brochures we could all have the Longhorn Network and you would have my business plus lots of other folks. Until then, no thanks.

I'm seriously thinking about moving a couple of towns over, where they have Verizon Fios. That's beginning to look like the only way I'll ever get to see the LHN regularly. Are you listening Time Warner???

I have U-verse w/ the sports package, really enjoy the MLB, NBA, NHL, and NFL Networks, NFL Redzone on Sundays, three soccer channels, Golf channel, every Fox Sports / NBC Sports / CBS Sports regionals (abt 40 of them), even the Big Ten Network, BUT THEY WON'T PICK UP THE LHN!

I don’t give a **** about the LHN personally but this whole thing is a poorly-managed cluster.

I have Dish Network with the sports package with all the channels that Meso mentioned.

Of course they don't have LHN either, the problem with all those Fox regional channels is they are either all showing the same program for the most part or blacked out by some pro sport. The one thing I really don't understand is Dish not carrying Fox College Sports. What is the problem here? I can't imagine they are demanding big money like LHN. Also they don't have ESPN3D, what's the problem there?

Dish hates me so much now that they have stopped offering me free channels and discounts now when I ***** at them about the lack of these channels. They did offer me the "Hopper" free if I agreed to another 24 month contract. I told them I would not agree to another two year contract if they offered me a live kangaroo. They really don't have a sense of humor either.

Yep. That Fox Sports package is about as useless as tits on a bull. 60-something channels. 40 are blacked out. The other twenty are showing the exact same thing. I'd gladly trade all of these channels + about 200 more for the LHN. Sucks that - in this day and age - we don't have an option to do something like this.

Around July I think ESPN starts to relent a bit with the cost/hh and at least one of the "bigs" (Comcast, DirecTV, dish, Time Warner) picks it up, forcing the rest of them to fall in line.

The same thing happened with ESPNU, although not because of cost. ESPN was going through their justice department stuff for their college conference deals in 2005, so the providers were worried about picking up a channel that might be canceled immediately. Eventually, once the air cleared, Time Warner was the first in line to add it to their packages.

I had Directtv for 13 years but ditched very quickly at a cost of $150 and picked up Fios. Well worth the buyout no matter what the cost.

Hell I only watch maybe 20 channels in my cable package and pay an outrageous amount.

Let me pick my 20 channels and charge me a monthly ala carte fee. I don't need Bravo or any of those Lifetime channels etc.

Let me choose what I want to watch, all those crap shows will disappear when the price is based on quality vs. quantity.
