as one of the top concerns (OL and RB being #1a and #1b), the DB recruiting board seems pretty wide open. we've got Scott, the #1 CB in the state, and Evans, the #1 S in the state, committed. Thompson, a rising prospect and a good take IMHO, will probably be a S as well. we clearly need at least 1 more CB. Griffin has committed to TCU, possibly because he saw the writing on the wall for a numbers crunch. We have Charles Jackson, Eric Agbaroji, Nick Shepard (yes THAT Shepard) and Frank Shannon coming for jr day #2, not to mention Quandre Diggs. we've got to have at least one offer (and probably commit) out of that bunch... right?
well now Avery Walls, a stud S from georgia has come in for an unofficial visit, and we know Josh Turner, the stud CB from OKC has talked about leaving OK (ala Cobbs last year).
this seems to be the flip problem from OL. we've got studs committed, and now where to find room for more studs... versus OL where we're loading up on "pretty good" guys that could have waited to get an offer (especially some one with a broken leg on crutches who had to be wheeled into visit mack ughhh).
