Actually better than just a shot. I think he was not going to announce Texas in the top-2 today anyway, probably out of a little respect for ags which he still must have, after recruiting for them for a whole year (but his dad was pretty upset at the aggy fan reaction and how the whole family is being called names, as of yesterday). Also, that would look like he is simply a Malik follower, which he isn't. He is a 5-star national top-20 player after all. He will make us recruit him hard before he would put is on top.

The important item was not the top-2 announcement, but that he will be visiting us in January. We will have Malik to show him around, which makes a big difference. I saw somewhere that Malik has already said he is after Mack (saying "you know I've already got Kris", on Boyd). And Texas commits like Cherry have been tweeting out our future defensive roster with Mack listed in it - which means they all feel at least somewhat energized that this could happen.

Plus, he might wait a little to see if Vance actually ends up leaving and hear out Coach Strong on the plans before putting us at the top anyway.

The top-2 could simply change with a #3 becoming #1 after a visit. So, there was nothing to be alarmed about, today. Just wait till he takes his visit to us, I guess. Most of the recruiting guys' crystal balls (at 247) have suddenly gone to us and we now lead as his predicted destination already.

Yes, Hu_Fan, another universe. But I think aggy is beginning to sense that the worm has turned and the sleeping giant has woken up. Memories kicking in, of past Horn butt-kickings. They suddenly have nothing to sell, with Malik stopping the "just a couple of more stud recruits and an NC" bull crap that Sumlin was using to make people think that this year and 59-0 didn't happen.
 
Hu, I read yesterday one texagster bitching about Malik's tweet to Daylon to come on to Texas. He said it waqs a classless move.

So I can just imagine the word of Malik there to greet Daylon will do to that site. For my entertainment for the night I'm going over there now to read the meltdowns that are happening.

For any Ags that can read and have a memory I ask them to think back about Tellus Bennett and his douchery and how it played out and when. The two circumstances are not even alike yet they get butt hurt about this. He did not string them along, go behind their backs and **** talk their program and coaches, try to steal recruits on the down low and be a tool. The young man changed his mind, made it public and does his recruiting for the team he wants to be part of for all to see, not covertly.

Big difference yet to the fans of a program laden with cheating over the years, this is bad and Tellus wasn't.
