hate to be selfish, but there are two longhorns that i pray dont sign. belt and cain. i'd hate to lose 1-3 in our order and 3 of our starting infielders.

Strange situation with David. Very hard to understand why he never appeared in Omaha..

Amen Oilfield. I would have like to have seen him in left field in game 1 when that double was hit by LSU in the 9th. He would have gotten a better angle on the ball.

To reach the CWS and not see thefield as a Junior had to be disappointing for David and his family. But David is the ultimate team player and you will not hear him complain.

I don't think its my place to say, but there were some internal differences between David and the staff. I'll just leave it at that.

One can figure out that much from a distance, which is too bad. I would not have been shocked at all to see him make a clutch pinch hit for us if nothing else. Stranger things have happened. Maybe that could have been the difference late in game one when some of our other hot bats had been pulled.
