Biden told an arena of black voters in Virginia that Republicans were going to put them in chains.

This is not surprising, but it is sad and disgusting. Of all the news stories to come out of the run-up to the election, from the silly (Helmet Hair shooting a coyote) to the serious (1st presidential debate), something as small as a tweet from a b-list 90s movie/TV actress (a very lovely and talented one fwiw), has become for me, the lowest point of election. The bullying, the racism, the group think about it all is disgusting. The worst part about it is I don't think it's the fringe of the Obama supporters. It's his base that are bullying her.

I'm not trying to use hyperbole when I say the "LOWEST" point. It's the lowest because, it's just completely obviously plain that people are living in different worlds...a world of liberty...liberty of thought...liberty of individualism...liberty of self-worth, confidence, and self determination, versus ...a world of fear.

White supporters of Obama on this site are regularly decried as "kool aid drinkers" and have their intelligence questioned completely on the basis of their support for Obama or thier questioning of Romney. It would be great if we could all discuss politics on a higher plane. I'm sorry Dash has been subjected to idiotic criticism and am glad people are interested in and intelligently discussing her opinions. Just because she's beautiful doesn't mean she can't be smart.

Actually, I'm undecided and leaning Romney. I question Obama's seasoning, his passion for the job and his political skills. I'm leery about supporting Romney because I don't think making our tax code more favorable to the one percent and less favorable to working folks will be stimulative of the economy, much less fair.

But I can live with Republican control of The House, the Senate and the White House. Gridlock has its own dangers and if Republicans control the three branches of government voters will know who to hold accountable in 2104, 2016 and beyond. Power is nice, and if the GOP finds it has to be a little more moderate to get things done and keep power it could be good for the country. I'm not SURE it will be a good thing though, so I'm not a Republican and my support for Romney is tepid. My positions on gay rights, separating teaching science from teaching Genesis, reasonable restraint on gun sales, choice, etc. means I'll never find a happy home among the GOP true believers.
