This is an interesting article from Wired.com. It explains a part of the theories that Darwin put forth were flawed. I love this explanation of the ramifications of being wrong in science:

Scientists frequently get things wrong, but they're right far more often than laymen. That's why we should still generally defer to them. Nevertheless, they're still human beings, which means they have pride and don't like admitting when they get something wrong. Who does?
