DART reports?

I was wondering if anyone tried their luck with the supposedly "new and improved" DART line to the State Fair this year after the disaster that was last year. No one I personally know said they were going to try it, but I know people used it because I saw a sizeable crowd at the MLK station after the game.

It was fine and beat drive, park and walk, but there were a couple of mitigating factors: (1) after last year’s failure, not as many people tried it; and (2) the 2:30 kick was more public transport friendly as the load was spread out better.

My personal opinion the best change was the busses direct from the rail stations.

It was ok for me, but probably because I left at 10:00 a.m. and not just 2 hours before the game. I wouldn't have been able to get on the train if I had waited until one of the "south of LBJ" stations as it was too crowded.

Leaving was ok too. I like how they moved it to the MLK station, but when everyone was leaving, they should have set up a line to get on. People would bumrush the closest door and leave people who had been waiting their turn behind.

Worked great compared to the disaster of last year. Stayed with friends in south Dallas, about an hour to get there, only a half hour to get back. Beats driving easily.
