ok, so he is the 6th overall best prospect out there this year and the best RB is this class. but how would you recruiting gurus rate him and compare him to Peterson , Benson, and Charles when they came out?

I don't know where he ranked coming out of high school, but I've heard many people compare him to Ricky Williams.

depending on the recruiting service you look at, benson wasn't even the highest regarded back in texas (which is stupid considering his numbers). but at least one site i recall had donta hickson rated higher.

I remember Kevin Jones going to his press conference with a Penn St sweater on, then peeling it off to reveal a Va Tech one. I also remember thinking what a giant douche he was for doing that.

I don't even remember who was #2 to Benson in Texas. Maybe the kid from Tyler Lee who started at Aggy and finished his career at SFA?

Cedric was the 10th best RB according to Lemming & Cnnsi in 2001. Joesph Addai was the next best back in Texas. He was the 12th best back & 68th overall

This guy is a manchild of a running back. Following the likes of Ricky Williams from Cali to the Longhorns is a great legacy.

Following the last string of RBs from Texas to the NFL would be greatness.

2. Recent MNC and Texas being a consistent contender.
3. Young hot shot position coach.
4. Weather
5. Postion Vacancy

Peterson was #1 overall, so Scott would be just barely half-a-notch behind, but ahead of Bensen & definitely Charles. I agree with whoever said he more resembles Ricky W. (which is good!)
