What do I need to get there? I have heard a few people talk about it before but for some reason, never been yet alone seen the place. I guess it is a few blocks past Nuevo Leon and Friscos?

a block east of Cisco's on the left (north side) across from Arnold Oil Co.

crowded from abt 11:30 - 1 or so

great cheese enchiladas

If you go, you will put it way above Chuy's or Matt's El Rancho. Keep it simple with cheese enchiladas and margaritas. You will kick yourself for missing out for so long.

my all-around favorite. great chips/salsa. Get the #2. Simple. Introduce yourself to Dario. He works the register.

Dario's is solid, and worth the trip. They are not afraid to lay on the cheez, and it is cheez with a z, too. I used to make it almost weekly when I worked downtown, but I do still make the occasional venture over from SW Austin for lunch.

Dario's is our traditional Sunday morning breakfast joint when we're in town. I like the migas and the margaritas are good and STRONG, almost too strong if that's possible.

went there today for lunch. had the mexican dinner (3 cheese enchiladas). pretty damn good. and although it looks shady on the outside, it is much nicer inside and the service was fast and dependable.
