Actually, the guy who wrote that, Jack McCallum, spent a year behind the scenes with D'Antoni writing a book. He's got people in the organization talking to him.

D'Antoni has had a lot of success over the last couple of years, and I don't think losing to San Antonio in the playoffs in a year where the West is incredibly stacked should result in his firing.

His refusal to work on defense is embarrassing. You knew he was done when after they were down 3-0 he said they just had to improve their offense and Kerr said they had to improve their defense.
