i am kind of fascinated by this story as i have never ever ever heard of him. Despite my advanced age, i feel like i know at least a little something about most people in the entertainment business.(from the Jonas Brothers to Don Rickles)
I did see his show at the Mirage, and happened into front row seats. I really loved the act. VERY entertaining and fun. He could go seamlessly from a perfect impression of Michael Jackson, to Bonnie Raitt, to Freddie Mercury, to Diana Ross, to Louis Armstrong or whoever you could name. Can't believe he's gone.
very well known in vegas, not well known nationally because he kept a low profile but he was one of the wealthiest entertainers in the country. just goes to show you should eat and live as you please. the guy was a health nut and dropped dead at 52. you never know...
It sounds like there will be more to story to come. It could be something as simple as an undetected heart condition. I hope its not drugs, steroids, anything like that. He had the world by the tail in his position.
Doubtful it was drugs. The guy was a churchgoer, family guy and workout freak. Also a noted introvert who didn't get out and certainly didn't mingle with any Vegas crowd. Sounds like it was a heart thing.
Then again, I can't imagine why a guy with that much money who was so into his health wouldn't have had a battery of tests on his heart as a precautionary. Hell, the Austin Heart Hospital has a cheap deal in your own backyard to at least give you some piece of mind. .
