The D sure was good last year.... kind of hard to be extremely great when you are out there what seems like constant 3 and outs by our Offense. This Vid highlights all the positions nicely. Lets hope the O helps out the D instead of relying on the D to keep us in games.
I am very optimistic about this year. Really we just need some semblance of a passing game, which is the only iffy area in my opinion because I think our ground game could be nasty. The D will be very good and might actually be the difference maker in a few games.
I too an excited about the season and the first game is almost 9 days away... single digits people!
I agree Dionysus, this D will be VERY nasty and as I have told other Horn fans, this bunch might be better than the '83 D that was one of the best the Horns have ever had.
The defense will have more depth and experience than last year. There is depth at all positions out there. The coaches have highlighted LB unit as being the weak link but to me it is an upgrade over what we had last year.
It all starts with getting penetration and pressure up front though. The DT position will be as key as it always is.
