Just pitched 3 bottles of wine, all of which were victims of bad corks. Two weren't that big of a loss as they were hand me down bottles from a friend who left them with us before moving to Seattle, but the 3rd was an '01 bottle of Mount Veeder cab I picked up a few months ago. I knew I was in trouble when I cut the foil and noticed a small collection of liquid on the top of the foil. Sure enough, when I pulled the cork there was a full vein of wine that had made its way up the the side through a weak spot.
Pouring a $30 bottle right down the drain sucks donkey balls.
