This decision was a no brainer, IMO. The real decision will be whether or not he stays in the draft or returns to school. His workouts will obviously be the key to his next decision.
Even with the workouts, there's always some NBA team willing to take a chance on a swingman project. He's not playing the 4 in the league, so my guess is that he's gone, unless he's dead set on going to the Final Four or getting his education.
If he is promised by some team he will be a first round darft choice then he should go. Guaranteed money for 2 years minimum. That would be the smart thing to do. James two big issues are his handle and ability to create his own shot. I've read where he's projected as a 2 in the NBA. He needs to really, really improve his dribbling skills to become that 2. He has less than 2 months to figure this out. He should do what's right for Damion James.
Obviously you can find an incredible number of Mock Drafts...but in this one he's late first round, one pick ahead of Hansbrough. If they give him input similar to this, you've seen the last of him in BO. The Link
this definitely worries me from the standpoint of next year's team. damion will wow some folks with his athletic ability. if he's shooting it well during some workouts, a team or two may show him some serious interest. i wish him well either way but would sure love to see him here one more year.
