Dallas Wings Win No. 1 draft pick

Dallas Wings should select Paige B as the #1 draft pick. However, the lingering question is who will they hire as the head coach?

My Wish List
I say throw everything and the kitchen sink at, you guessed it Geno and see if they can entice him to come to TX and join the WNBA. 3 year contract because I figure he is probably on the im going to retire soon bus. I would be in his ear telling him he can finally build a team around Paige and start the legacy and dynasty that never came to fruition @ UCONN due to her injuries.

My second pick Dawn Staley.

My 3rd pick Kim Mulkey. Love her or hate her she can coach and the Dallas Wings need as much personality as they can get. Season ticket prices are skyrocketing and they need to make a BOSS move to keep the arena filled.

I know nothing about hiring a coach just a wish list from a Dallas wings fan.

Nice thought (although I really don’t want to see Mulkey on a regular basis) but the Wings can’t afford any of those three much less pry them from their current jobs.

I do think the Sparks made a good hire but only time will tell.

She wasn't ready. Had she stayed and played for Vic another year, and even perhaps use that extra covid year, I think her professional career would have been completely different. She was really just coming into her own as a player under Vic. Dallas Wings had two top picks that year and pretty much squandered both.

They have had 12 ,yes 12 first round picks from 2020-2024. And this is still a bottom feeding franchise.
A case study in malpractice.

They can have the number one overall but it will do nothing till the rot from the top down is eliminated.

Same situation as the Dallas Cowboys from what I've heard.
