Dallas will implode...

I have a terrible feeling about my beloved Cowboys this season. Expectations are sky high and they have a heck of a lot of talent, but I just don't like the chemistry.

I hope Owens, Pac Man and Company can keep their heads on straight for the ups and downs of what will be an intensely scrutinized season.

Something tells me that the Cowboys fall short of even a significant run in the playoffs much less a superbowl birth.

Hope I am dead wrong.

I am not a Cowboys fan and I am for sure not a T. Owens fan. I have not liked him since his days back with the 49'ers. However, it is unfair to even mention him in a sentence with Adam Jones. Two totally different problems, one of which has not had any in a year if not more. Owens has shut his yap to the point that the media has to reach to find wrongdoing in that dept.

I disagree with your take. Just because they are great choke artists for quite awhile does not mean this year won't be a year to do well to very well in the playoffs. I hope they don't but you won't find me betting against it happening. I think you will have a lot to cheer about.

My take is that the next step from 13-3 is not winning a superbowl but winning a playoff game. They have a 2-3 year window in front of them just like any team does that is building up for a title run. Maybe they jump from no playoff wins in 12 years to a superbowl team but I think them just winning a playoff game will be a huge step for them mentally.

It took Manning and the Colts a few years to finally crack through.

I think that - barring an injury plagued season - they will be ok. They actually improved quite a bit over the off-season. I think they started believing their own hype towards the end of last year. This year should be different.

Can someone answer a quick question. Do they not have two #1 picks this year ('09)? I could have sworn that they did.

If Jones can settle in at the other corner, then Henry moves to safety in passing downs and gets Roy W. off the field. It's all good. Watching Roy W. try to cover even a tight end is about like watching the Horns secondary from last year.

If TO stays healthy, the Cowboys will rock. I think Brad Johnson is serviceable enough if Romo goes down (at least then we potentially wouldn't abandon the run game like we did against the Giants

So many volatile personalities in one lockerroom, it's inevitable that something will blow during the season (like after a frustrating loss). Does anyone think T.O. really found Jesus, and he's now a model child for on- and off-field decorum? He's a lit fuse.

The Plowboys will likely go 11-5 & win the division over NY. But I like the Vikings to win the NFC.

I think JJ mad a mistake in giving Garrett almost as much money as Phillips is getting. Its seems like Wade is sitting on a trap door, which will open immediately if things get off to a rough start. I understand why JJ did it, but it not a good signal to send to your HC when 2nd place money is given to a guy who has never won a game as a NFL HC. That & the fact that TO is getting older & is injury prone & with Glenn gone and a relatively inexperienced receiving corps, JJ might have messed up by not going after a proven talent in the free agent market, like maybe one Roy Williams of Detroit. How sweet that would have been. But JJ has never cared much for Longhorns and his hatred of the burnt orange is ingrained in his Arkisaw mentality. He was even pulling for USC in the Rose Bowl. That Ozark Chicken F++ker can' even pull for he state school in which his team resides. The Cowboys will crash & burn somewhere along the way. There are better coaches, players, & front office people at other franchises. JJ will not win another Super Bowl as long as he continues to hold the reins as closely as he does.

Sorry, I was making a wry joke about his (FWST?) interview wherein he said people's critiques of his job performance ("Gee, Roy, you suck in coverage" or "Dang, you haven't forced a fumble in two years") were actually malicious personal attacks, spawned from people angry with his newfound love of Jesus. He then proceeded to blaspheme, comparing his endurance of these 'personal attacks' to the suffering of Jesus on the cross.

I hope Dallas does well, only to get Romo'ed in the playoffs again. It just ends up being too much hilarity that I just want more of it! Nothing I enjoy more than seeing the Cowboys bandwagon fall apart on a national stage.

Snicker, poor pathetic iggles fans, suffering through the longest drought of championships in the four major sports in the history of professional athletics. The igs had their chance and McNabbed it in a pool of vomit on the 30 yard line. Meanwhile, it appears that being "Romo'd" means setting franchise records in completions, yards and TDs in the first full year as a starter.

As a Cowboys hater, I hope the implosion happens sooner rather than later. It would be extra special if the implosion came from PacMan, Owens, Roy Williams and Tank. Pac Man, Owens and Tank because they are turds, Williams because he was a sooner. Living in Dallas is so much easier when they suck.
